Casa Althay 2023 is born from the garden vineyards surrounding Casa Althay, located in the heart of La Geria, one of Lanzarote’s most iconic and singular wine-growing landscapes.
Crafted from century-old Malvasía Volcánica and Listán Blanco vines cultivated under the traditional hollow planting system — dug more than one meter deep into volcanic ash — this wine reflects the authenticity and resilience of Lanzarote’s historic viticulture.
Spontaneous fermentation and the absence of clarification preserve the natural energy and character of the vineyard, while ageing in concrete and 500-liter barrels adds texture, balance and depth.
With a limited production of 9,000 bottles, Casa Althay 2023 offers an honest, volcanic and deeply Atlantic interpretation of Lanzarote.
